Concealed Material Facts
NJ Municipalities are not immune from Insurance Fraud. In New Jersey, concealing or omitting material facts in an insurance claim investigation is illegal and constitutes the crime of insurance fraud. A person can be found guilty of insurance fraud if they knowingly make or cause to be made a false or misleading statement of material fact, or omit a material fact, in connection with an insurance claim.
